I think lace scarfs are just so beautiful. Not that I have knitted too many of those, but I love the way the pattern just opens up after you are finished knitting it and have blocked it out. I also love the small bumps in the fabric while you are knitting it. I think the whole process is slightly magic.
But, unfortunately, it takes ages to knit. Or, at least for me, it does… So what to do when you want to make a lace scarf, but just don’t have the time nor the energy to make a whole big one? You make a small one for your little niece who is celebrating her 1st birthday just before xmas.
- Yarn: Drops Baby Merino
- Yardage: About a skein of white and a bit of lavender
- Needles: 4mm
